When we first began to discover the Mountain Horse we met a wonderful man, Junior Robinson, he gave us the opportunity to purchase one of his mares a nice big chocolate mare named Amigo's Shady Blue. At that time I wanted a Choco Dock baby so we decided to breed her to Choco Dock.

Due to circumstances the mare foaled one night 20 days early. We looked out the window and there was the foal laying in an awkward position. We just knew that something was very wrong. But when we got in the field the foal jumped up and ran over to us as if to say hello and now what. He was so friendly always the first one to us when we went in the pasture. At first we were disappointed because we wanted a filly, but quickly we realized we had been blessed. We named the foal Silver Creek Magnum Silver and he just kept getting better looking as he grew.

Magnum is six and is standing at stud at Van Bert Farms. Watch for his foals in the show ring. We expect a couple of foals in the spring from Magnum. We have been told with his genes he should be a color factory and we are hoping for Chocolate with the white main and tail.
